Use mouse wheel to switch between browser tabs

This article shows you how to use the mouse wheel to switch between tabs in the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browser.

If you are someone who works a lot with open tabs in your internet browser, then you know the problem that quickly switching between different tabs can be a challenge. For example, if you have many tabs open, the tab titles will become smaller, making them more difficult to click.

This handy tool allows you to scroll through your open tabs with a simple movement of your mouse wheel. This functionality is not only time-saving, but also more ergonomically beneficial, as it reduces the need to repeatedly click and move your mouse. This is how it works.

Use mouse wheel to switch between browser tabs

To begin download WindHawk to your computer. After downloading, install the app. Once you have installed the app, click the “Browse for mods” button to search for modifications for Windows 11.

Search for:

Click on “Details” to open.

Then click “install” to install this modification.

Click “Accept risk and install” to confirm that you actually want to install this modification.

Now open the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. If you have multiple tabs open, hold the mouse over any free space between or on the tabs. By scrolling with the mouse wheel on your mouse you can then quickly switch between the open tabs.
