Reset Airpods to factory settings? This is how!

AirPods, the newest earbuds from Apple. The AirPods deliver great sound and I am happy with them. Recently I came to the conclusion that one of the AirPods was no longer producing sound.

At first I was shocked, because I had dropped a little water on my AirPods a few days before. I tested it in the hope that they were dry and not broken, and the right AirPod did not work.

After this unpleasant event, I learned to reset the AirPods and I will share this information with you if the same thing has happened to you. I hope not, they don't like water.

The beauty of Apple products, including the AirPods, is that problems can often be easily solved by a reset.

How can I reset my AirPods?

To restore the AirPods, place the AirPods in a charged charging base with the cover open.

Then press and hold the white button on the back of the charging station for approximately 20 seconds.

You will initially see that the LED light in the charging station starts to light up purple.

After 20 seconds it will flash white and remain white.

This is the moment that the AirPods have been reset and need to be re-paired with your device, such as an iPhone or Mac computer.

It's actually simple to restore your AirPods to factory settings. All AirPods settings such as double-tap for Siri, etc. must be reset after resetting. You do this by connecting the AirPods to an iPhone, iPad or Mac computer.
