If you have multiple monitors connected to your computer, you can easily manage the brightness per monitor via the Twinkle Tray app.
Twinkle Tray offers you a range of options and features to suit your preferences, all completely free. The program integrates seamlessly with Windows 10 and Windows 11 and works with most laptops and DDC/CI-supporting monitors.
You can set hotkeys to adjust the brightness of specific or all screens. You can also manage DDC/CI functions such as contrast, volume and on/off status.
Twinkle Tray adjusts the brightness based on the time of day or when your computer is inactive. You can use command line arguments for custom scripts, normalize the backlight between different monitors and more.
Adjust brightness across multiple displays in Windows 11 or 10
To begin download Twinkle Tray to your computer. This app resides in the notification area, where it runs in the background.
By clicking the icon in the system tray you can change the brightness per detected display. A window will appear with the name of the connected monitors. By sliding the slider you can change the brightness per monitor.
Right-click on Twinkle Tray to open its settings.
Here you can change various general app settings such as color theme, language and other GUI adjustments. You can solve any problems with your connected display in the display settings and DDC/CI functions. This can help, for example, if the display is not detected by Twinkle Tray.
You can also assign a hotkey in the settings to increase or decrease the brightness of a specific display. If necessary, you can even indicate per time period when a certain brightness should be applied per screen. For example, you can choose to automatically lower the brightness from 18:00 PM in the evening.
