JavaScript is also a programming language that is mainly used by web browsers to provide the user with a dynamic and interactive website. Most of the features and applications you see on most websites are coded in some form of JavaScript.

You can enable or disable JavaScript in any browser, including the Google Chrome browser. JavaScript is enabled by default, you can disable it, but that is generally not recommended.

If you disable JavaScript in the Google Chrome browser, many of the websites will hardly work or will no longer work. It is better to enable JavaScript and disable it only for one or more websites. You can do this by adding a JavaScript exception. You can read how this works in the guide below.

Open the Google Chrome browser. Then click on the menu icon in the top right corner. In the menu click on “Settings”.

Then click on “Privacy and security” in the left menu and then on “Site settings”.

In the “Content” settings, click on “JavaScript” to open the JavaScript settings.

If you want to enable JavaScript in Google Chrome, click on “Sites can use JavaScript”.

To disable JavaScript in Google Chrome, click “Do not allow sites to use JavaScript”.

If you do not want to enable or disable JavaScript completely, but only want to make an exception for certain websites, you first make a choice to enable or disable JavaScript. After this, add a website to “No permission to use JavaScript” or “Permission to use JavaScript.

In this way, for example, you can enable JavaScript, but make an exception for certain website(s) to disable JavaScript only for these websites. The other way around is also possible.
