Every Mac computer is equipped with a built-in video card. This video card ensures that graphic images are displayed on your computer, but also ensures that you can play computer games on Mac. The video card, a Graphical Processor Unit (GPU), is a standard part of every Mac.
If you want to know which video card is installed in your MacBook, Mac mini or iMac, you can find this out in the following way.
What video card does my Mac have?
To get started click on it Apple icon in the top left corner. Then click About This Mac from the menu.
In the system overview of your Mac you can now see which video card model is installed in your Mac. However, this overview only shows which video card (GPU) is installed in addition to the motherboard model.
For a more detailed overview of all video cards and graphics settings in your Mac, click the System Overview button. A comprehensive overview is shown with all hardware specifications of your Mac.
Click on Video/displays in the menu on the left. You will then see an overview of the model of your video card, the chipset model with all specifications.
I hope this helped you. Thank you for reading!
I have a mac book air 2015, normally I can work with a projector (school) with an adapter for HDMI.
Now there is a projector (older model: HITACHI CPRX 78) where this is no longer possible.
The projector keeps searching for video....
Searching with the reset key also does not work
How can I solve this problem
Thank you
Christel
Hello. The projector model is from 2010, I suspect there is no support for this model in macOS. An intermediate piece will therefore not work because communication is simply not possible because the operating system does not support this.
So I don't know a solution. Unfortunately.
