  1. Hey hello, I came here to the site because I want to get rid of the annoying intrusive sidebar in Edge. Just bought a new laptop, the same one my father already has. However, it doesn't have that sidebar, so I can't get rid of it on my laptop. I don't see a 'remove sidebar' icon from your option 1. And your option 2, to do it via the settings of Edge itself, so via the gear and appearance, does not work either, because there is no option Show sidebar with an on or out of the slider, to drive you crazy 🙂

    1. Hello, the comparison can be made if it is actually the same sidebar (in appearance), the same version of the Edge browser as well as the same Windows version.

      1. Make sure Edge is updated with the latest version.
      2. If necessary, you can reset Edge and try again: https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/microsoft-edge/wat-je-moet-doen-als-microsoft-edge-niet-werkt-cc0657a6-acd2-cbbd-1528-c0335c71312a

      Success!
