OneDrive is the cloud storage service Microsoft offers to securely store all your files in one place, which you can then access from virtually anywhere.

The service works like a traditional external drive, but with the difference that OneDrive is available over the internet and offers additional features. Because the service works across devices and platforms, you can, for example, create a file on one device and pick up where you left off on another computer without having to transfer anything to a USB stick or transfer it to yourself email. Plus, OneDrive makes it easy to share content with other people and collaborate in real-time thanks to Microsoft 365 integration.

OneDrive lets you securely share files with someone who isn't directly connected to your home network or office, and that person can be anywhere in the world.

To share a file or folder, simply move the destination folder to your OneDrive storage and share from there. Select OneDrive on the left, then right-click the folder or file you want to share and select Show more options.

Then click the Share button.

The easiest way is to copy the link of the shared document and send it to the person you want to give access to the document. You can also set conditions on what the person can do with the document when they receive the link, including typing a password before the document can be read.

Then type the name, group or email address. Then click Copy Link or the Send button to send the file or folder.

You can also click the “Copy Link” button to send the hyperlink directly to the file or folder.
