bluetooth mouse not working

In some cases, a newly paired Bluetooth mouse does not work immediately in Windows. The Bluetooth connection is there but the mouse does not seem to work.

The first thing you should try is to restart the computer the mouse is connected to. A restart of the computer restores certain computer processes and connections. After a restart, try to pair the Bluetooth mouse again and check whether the mouse now works.

If the Bluetooth connected mouse still does not work, check the following. Make sure Bluetooth mouse is fully charged. Also check the batteries in the mouse. For example, check whether the batteries are fully charged and that they are actually properly inserted in the mouse. Also check that the distance from the mouse to your computer is not too far. Also check whether the Bluetooth mouse works on another computer. Are there no lights on the mouse and does it not work on another computer? Then you may have a broken mouse. Do the lights work? Then read on.

If you are still having problems with the Bluetooth connection and your mouse, follow the steps in this article.
