Enable memory saver in Google Chrome

In the latest version of Google Chrome, version 108 or higher, a new feature “Memory Saver” has been added. Memory saving is part of the new performance settings.

When the memory saver feature is enabled, Chrome will free up memory from inactive tabs. This way, active tabs and other apps get more resources and Chrome stays fast. Your inactive tabs will automatically become active again when you return to them by clicking on them.

Tab Memory Saver is a new feature in Google Chrome that helps optimize the performance of both Google Chrome and your computer by freeing up resources for other processes. Tabs that are not in use are temporarily disabled until they are actively accessed again. This is an advantage for other tabs that have videos or games loaded, these tabs have more computer resources at their disposal because inactive tabs are disabled.

An option has been added in the memory saving function to never put certain tabs in this “sleep mode”. These websites added here are always kept active. This prevents websites that depend on real-time updates from being disabled and ensures that the latest information is always visible.
