If you are still using a computer with the Windows 8 operating system, it is recommended that you upgrade to Windows 23 before January 2023, 10.
Support for Windows 8 or 8.1 will expire in 2023. If an operating system is no longer supported by Microsoft, your computer becomes vulnerable to problems and computer viruses. Windows 8 will no longer receive updates and your data may no longer be safe.
It is relatively simple to update your Windows 8 computer to Windows 10. By upgrading you ensure that your computer and files are safe again until at least October 14, 2025. This is the end date for support of Windows 10 by Microsoft.
Update Windows 8 or 8.1 to Windows 10
Updating your Windows 8 computer to Windows 10 can be done with the “Media Creation tool”.
This tool downloads the required files to install Windows 10 to your computer. Once the files have been downloaded, the installation will start.
Download Windows 10 installation file. Click “Download Utility Now”.
Follow the steps. Then click “Update this PC now”.
Windows 10 will now be downloaded to your computer.
Then you can choose to keep personal files or not. If you have made this choice, Windows 8 will be updated to Windows 10. In most cases you will need a Have a Windows 10 license to use Windows 10.
