Save up to 95% memory with Google Chrome via OneTab

If you work via the Google Chrome browser with multiple tabs open, then Chrome consumes significantly more memory.

Each opened tab is a separate process and requires memory from your computer. If it also concerns a dynamic tab, a tab that updates information in the background, then it requires even more memory. The more tabs you have open in Google Chrome at the same time, the slower your computer becomes due to the high memory consumption.

This is where the browser extension “OneTab” can help. Onetab is a free browser extension for Google Chrome that helps you better manage and organize tabs. It is designed to help reduce tab clutter and improve browser efficiency.

If you have multiple tabs open in your browser, you can convert these tabs into one list with Onetab. This saves system resources and makes it easier to find and open specific tabs later. Instead of having a large number of tabs open and consuming memory, Onetab collects them into a single tab that contains a list of links to all your previously opened tabs.

To get started, install the Onetab browser extension in the Google Chrome browser. After installation, click on the puzzle icon in the Chrome menu bar and click the tweezers icon to pin the extension to the menu bar.

This way you always have quick access to the Onetab extension with a single click. To group all open tabs and close them to Onetab, click the Onetab icon in the menu bar.

Group all tabs via Onetab

You have now saved all tabs in the Onetab tab. All active tabs are closed and are now displayed in an overview. From here you can restore all tabs by clicking “restore all” or individually on one tab.

You will also see previously closed or grouped tabs. You can also restore these.

Other features include:

Tab consolidation: Onetab consolidates all your open tabs into a single tab with clickable hyperlinks, freeing up memory and reducing a cluttered overview with too many tabs.

Tab management: You can easily manage your tabs by grouping them into different categories or creating custom tabs.

Save and restore: Onetab allows you to save your tabs for later use. You can restore them individually or all at once depending on your needs.

Export and import: You can export your tabs as a web page or share them with others. Onetab also supports importing tabs from previous sessions or other devices.

Privacy and security: Onetab claims to prioritize user privacy and does not collect or sell personal data.

You can drag tabs in your OneTab list to rearrange them. You can also hold down the Ctrl or Cmd key while restoring tabs and they will remain in your OneTab list (which means you can use OneTab as a way to quickly launch a set of frequently used tabs).

Another big advantage is that you won't lose your list of tabs if you accidentally close the OneTab window, if your browser crashes, or if you restart your computer.
