In the left settings menu, first click on “Advanced” and then on “Languages” to open the language settings.
Optional: You can also type “chrome://settings/languages” in the address bar to go directly to the language settings.
To change the language in Google Chrome, you must first add a language that you want to set as the default.
Add language to Google Chrome
To do this, click on the blue link “Add languages”
In the search box at the top right, search for the language you wish to add. Select this language from the list of languages and click on the “add” button at the bottom right.
Change display language in Google Chrome
Then, to change the display language of Google Chrome, select the option “Show Google Chrome in this language”.
You will then see the message “This language is used to display the Google Chrome UI”. Then click the “Restart” button to restart Google Chrome.
After the restart, you will see that Google Chrome has been adjusted to the set display language.
Offer to translate pages into this language
If you want to add a language to translate pages in Google Chrome, follow the steps above to add a language.
After adding the desired language to translate, click on the three vertical dots to the right of the new language and click on “Offer to translate pages into this language”.

I tear my hands out and waste hours of time trying to solve a problem. I would like to bring a number of Google applications (maps, translate, contacts, etc.) together in 1 folder on my desktop.
In principle, my laptop is set to the French language (Windows and Google), but now I get all applications in French, only Translate and Drive stubbornly open in Dutch. I've already tried ALL possible searches but I can't get those two in French. I also don't understand why they appear in Dutch. Possibly from a previous configuration?

I tried it myself, set to “Dutch”. The language for Google Drive has changed. I couldn't find the Google Translate app, only a website and extension. Good luck!
