Prevent Google Chrome from automatically disabling tabs

If you have multiple tabs open in Google Chrome then this could be the Make Google Chrome browser slower. To prevent this problem, Google has added a feature called “discards” in the browser.

Discards in Google Chrome is a feature that prevents the browser from having too many open tabs slowing down the Chrome browser. The Chrome browser does this automatically by disabling active tabs in the background if you haven't used them for a while.

The problem is that some websites rely on an active tab. Through the reload tab in the background can update a website information. To prevent this problem, you can set Google Chrome so that a tab should not be disabled. This is how it works.

Open the Google Chrome browser. In the address bar type: chrome://discards/

You are now in the “Discards” settings of Google Chrome. You can see the active one here tabs you have open in Google Chrome in an overview.

To now prevent a tab from being automatically disabled by Google Chrome to restrict system processes, click on “Toggle” in the “Auto discardable” table.

This changes the setting from a check mark to a cross. In this case, a cross means that the tab remains active in the background. A check mark means that the background tab can be disabled.

It's important to note that if you customize a tab to keep it active, it will only work as long as you don't close the browser or tab. If you close the relevant tab or restart the Google Chrome browser, you will need to make this change again.
