When you work in Windows, Microsoft will show suggestions every so often. These are notifications that appear at the bottom right near the time and date with recommendations for new products or services.
I was recently confronted with such a suggestion. The “Microsoft recommends editor” message.
This is nothing more than a notification that recommends a specific Microsoft product based on the action you were performing at the time. Software or a service is then recommended to make working easier. This is advertising in the form of a suggestion and you can disable it.
Microsoft recommends editor to remove notification
To disable the suggestion, open the settings. In the settings, click on “System” and then on “Notifications”.
Then disable the following two notification settings in the “additional settings”:
- Show the Windows welcome experience after updates and when you're signed in to show you what's new and what's coming.
- Tips and suggestions when using Windows.
You will now no longer see tips and suggestions in Windows 11. Thanks for reading!
