In Windows 11 there is a prominent widgets button. This widgets button is located on the left side of the taskbar.
Widgets in Windows 11 provide insight into various news, the current weather, the traffic situation in your region and more. To inform you about these widgets, a widget uses a notification. This could be a notification with a notification showing how many new updates there are or dynamic notifications. Dynamic notifications are, for example, the current weather.
You can disable the notifications that show widgets. You can do this, for example, because you find them distracting or simply do not use them. In this guide I'll explain how to do this.
Disable widget notifications in Windows 11
Open the widgets by clicking on the widgets button at the bottom left. You can also use the Windows + W key combination or simply move your mouse over the widgets button.
Now click on the profile icon at the top right of the widgets window to open the widgets settings.
In the widgets settings you can control the notifications for disable widgets by unchecking the following two options.
- Show notification badges.
- Show announcements.
The notification badges are the notifications that appear on the taskbar when a change has occurred on interest-based widgets. The announcements are the changes that dynamic widgets show.
By disabling both of these options, you will no longer see notifications from widgets.
I hope to have informed you with this. Thank you for reading!
