Cast Windows 11 screen to Android TV

Nowadays, a lot of televisions are equipped with an Android-based operating system.

These TVs support Miracast and so it is possible screen from a Windows 11 computer to the TV screen. Projecting the screen to an Android TV is called “casting”.

Before you can cast the display from a Windows 11 PC to a supported television, you must first install an optional component in Windows 11. This optional part is called “Wireless Display” and must be installed in order to cast.

Besides the optional component in Windows 11, both devices must also be connected to the same thing Wireless network. Also check the firewall settings and make sure both devices are turned on when casting.

Right-click on the Start button. Then click on “Settings” in the menu. In the left menu, first click on “Apps” and then on “Optional components”.

Next to “Add an optional feature”, click “Show features”.

In the search field type: wireless display. Select the item and then click “next” at the bottom.

You can now install the “wireless display” component by clicking the “install” button. The component is then installed automatically.

Now to cast the display to an Android or other supported television, click to the left of the time and date to open the quick settings menu.

Now click on the “Cast” tile and choose the television from the list of devices.

If your TV prompts you to connect, accept the connection on your TV and computer. The screen of your Windows 11 PC is now cast to the television.

  1. I have an AC Ryan media player and it works perfectly with a W 7 [32b].
    just share a folder on the PC and for each other, but now with W11 that is no longer possible.
    I just bought another player [Nokia 8000 steam], but it's actually just an internet box, because my shared folder doesn't see it.
    So what is a media player?
