Looking up IP address in Windows 10, several tips

Every device connected to a network or the Internet has one IP address, an IP address stands for Internet Protocol address. It is an identification number that distinguishes all other devices on the network and the internet with a unique IP address. There is no network or internet without an IP address.

For Internet use requires all connected devices have a public IP address. An IP address makes it possible for two devices, let's call it the sender and receiver, of Internet communication to be found and to exchange data with each other.

The most common private IP group starts with 192.168- or 10- within a network. Everyone on the Internet has been given a unique public IP address by the Internet provider. Because every device is on a different local network (LAN), there are no conflicts. Moreover, because all communication on the Internet is from IP address to IP address. Every website you visit knows the public IP address of your router. No server, however, knows your private internal IP address computer on a network.

There are now two versions of the Internet Protocol: IPv4, and a new version called IPv6. IPv6 is an evolutionary upgrade of Internet Protocol version 4. As the number of Internet users increases, IPv4 will eventually reach its limits and IPv4 addresses will run out. IPv6 will therefore meet the need for more Internet addresses. In this article, we provide several methods to find your IP address Windows 10.
