Delete Windows 11 account? Step by step guide

Delete Windows 11 account is possible. Every account created in Windows 11, be it a local account or a Microsoft account can be removed.

Deleting a Windows 11 account can be useful if, for example, you want to delete a user who no longer uses your computer or when you want to free up disk space on your hard drive.

It is important that you only delete an account that you no longer need and that you are sure no longer contains any important files. If you have any doubts, then make a backup first of the files by logging into the user account. For example, place them on a external hard drive or on a USB-stick. I recommend that you especially check the documents folder and the downloads folder carefully before deleting the user account.

There are several ways to delete an account in Windows 11. I explain some of the most commonly used ways in this article.
