A system image is good enough if your Windows is corrupt, but you can boot to the desktop. But if you can't boot into Windows, you can't use it to run your Windows 11 computer repair.
If you want to restore your computer you will need a recovery disk along with the system image to completely restore Windows. A recovery drive allows you to boot from the USB drive and gives you the advanced boot options. From there, you can use the tools to troubleshoot or restore Windows from a system image.
Create Windows 11 recovery drive
Click on the magnifying glass in the taskbar. In the search window type: recovery drive. Click on the result.
Now insert a USB stick into the computer with at least 8GB of free disk space. The USB stick is set as a recovery drive. This allows you to start up problems in Windows and solve problems via the Advanced boot options dissolve.
Click next.
Please wait as the recovery station is being prepared.
Select the available USB drive. If the drive is displayed, the USB stick is suitable for use as a recovery drive. Click next.
Becomes the USB stick not found? Try the USB stick format as NTFS and point one drive letter.
All data on the USB stick will be lost. If necessary, make a backup of the files on the USB stick. Click Create to continue creating the Windows 11 recovery drive.
Utilities and system files are created on the recovery drive. Creating the recovery drive takes a while.
